Private School Fees in Queensland

Queensland's non-government sector leans heavily on systemic Catholic education: Brisbane Catholic Education and the regional dioceses run a large network of Catholic systemic schools, which are generally more affordable than the independent sector, alongside independent schools concentrated around Brisbane and the coastal cities. Older single-school or religious-order Catholic colleges tend to sit outside that systemic pricing and often cost closer to an independent school. This page lists published tuition for every QLD school with a fee schedule, sorted from lowest published Year 7 tuition. Drill into the Brisbane hub for the independent and Catholic sectors separately.

Frequently asked questions

Are these the full fees I'll pay, or just tuition?

These are the school's published annual day-tuition figures for the stated year, the core teaching fee. Most schools also charge separate compulsory levies (building, resource, technology or capital funds), shown alongside tuition where the school publishes them, plus variable extras like camps, uniforms, devices and excursions that aren't part of the published schedule. Treat the tuition figure as the base cost, not the total.

What's the difference between tuition and levies?

Tuition is the core annual teaching fee for a year level. Levies are additional compulsory charges a school bills on top, often for buildings, technology or a building/capital fund, and they vary a lot between schools: some fold everything into one number, others itemise several. We show tuition as the headline figure and any levy the school publishes alongside it.

Do these figures include scholarships or sibling discounts?

No. Published figures are the standard rate before any scholarship, bursary, or sibling and early-payment discount. Many schools offer meaningful reductions for a second or third enrolled child, and some run means-tested or merit bursary programs. Ask the school directly what concessions you'd qualify for.

How current are these fees, and should I confirm them?

Each figure is stamped with the school year it applies to and links back to the school's own published schedule at the time it was captured. Fees are reviewed annually and can change without much notice, so always confirm the current amount with the school directly before enrolling or budgeting against it.
